On Saturday, 7th September 2024, the Lynn family hosted their annual Fun Day for Finnebrogue employees and their families in Downpatrick.
The event kicked off with Mrs. Lynn delivering a heartfelt message of gratitude to the team, highlighting that the true heart of Finnebrogue lies in its people. “It’s your continued dedication and hard work that make our business a success,” she expressed warmly, recognising the incredible efforts that drive the company forward.
The Fun Day, attended by around 700 people, was packed with entertainment for all ages. From funfair rides and bouncy castles to a challenging climbing wall for the adventurous, the day offered something for everyone. Magician Trevor Price captivated guests with his tricks, while a balloon modeller and rodeo bull delighted both children and adults alike.
Guests enjoyed an array of complimentary food and drinks, including a burger bar, loaded fries, stone-baked pizza, crepes, coffee, and ice cream. An adult-only area featured a cocktail bar, while live music from the Just Adam Band kept the atmosphere lively and upbeat throughout the day.
Finnebrogue’s focus on its people as the lifeblood of the business has not gone unnoticed. The company was awarded Best Place to Work at the Irish News Workplace & Employer Awards 2024 and won Best Wellbeing in the Workplace Strategy for two consecutive years. Finnebrogue’s commitment goes beyond financial investment, fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes diversity, inclusion, and the personal wellbeing and professional growth of every team member. In July, the company was also awarded Employer of the Year UK at the prestigious Grocer Gold Awards, where judges praised Finnebrogue’s innovative People Strategy and its dedication to creating a supportive, dynamic, and progressive environment for its incredible team.
