Saving Britain’s bacon – Naked Bacon flies off the shelves

The newest addition to the Finnebrogue Artisan line-up – Naked Bacon – has been flying off shelves since it was launched in the media in late December and hit the stores in early January.

We have been delighted with the positive response that Naked Bacon has received – from celebrities and consumers alike.

Masterchef guru and TV presenter Gregg Wallace hailed Naked Bacon as “a cracking rasher”, saying “the taste is fantastic” – and he should know! Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson declared our bacon as “lovely” and said “well done to all concerned” at Finnebrogue Artisan – the best bacon….in the world?

Since our Naked Bacon confronts the Naked Truth that making bacon with nitrites is bad for you, we were really pleased that the UK’s top food scientist, Professor Chris Elliott from Queen’s University Belfast, called our bacon “a very welcome development”, with the Chairman of the House of Commons’ Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee – Neil Parish MP – joining to praise our efforts as a “brilliant British success story”.

When Naked Bacon took to the TV screens for live tasting sessions, it was declared as “very good” by Sky News, while ITV Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway declared: “it’s great! We can have bacon sarnies without fear”.

But all the celebrity approval in the world counts for nowt if our customers won’t get out there and buy it! Needless to say, your feedback has been amazing.

Consumers have been getting in touch with us from across the length and breadth of the UK to tell us how great our Naked Bacon – and our Naked range of hams and sausages too – hasbeengoingdown. From Christina in Richmond-upon-Thames (“tried it…loved it”) to Sue in Monmouth (“it’sdelicious”) and Margaret in Oldham (“best bacon ever”).

We have been particularly pleased with the reaction from customers closer to our home in Northern Ireland. “Very tasty…will buy again”, says Susan from Donaghadee, “great job”, says Jim from Belfast and Ron from Portrush thinks our Naked Bacon is “highly recommended”.

If you fancy getting your hands on our Naked Bacon, Ham or Sausages, they are on sale in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose across all four corners of the UK as well as other supermarkets in certain parts of the UK and Ireland. If you want to find your local stockists, visit the store locator on our website here.

Across Northern Ireland, and now in supermarkets on the British mainland, shops are having to work overtime to restock shelves and keep up with the strong demand for our Naked range.

The whole team at Finnebrogue Artisan are delighted to hear of continued praise from our great customers across the country. We are glad that your morning fry-up or lunchtime ham sandwich is not only tasty, but the best it can be – free from e numbers, allergens, nitrites and any other nasties.
