What a pleasure it was to welcome MBA students from the Texas McCombs School of Business to our site this morning – and they brought the good weather with them!
They started off the morning learning about nitrites and enjoying a delicious bacon bap made with nitrite-free Better Naked bacon – which they all declared was delicious – “thicker than American bacon and less salty”.
Our HR Manager, Morgan Cooke provided an overview of our People Strategy, and our award-winning Health and Wellbeing, which has a clear focus on supporting the emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing of employees.
Our Operations Director, Dermot Hawkins talked them through the Finnebrogue journey and our growth from a £3m business in 2009 to a 218m business next year.
Our journey started with the first bangers in 2005, to winning major retail contracts from M&S and ASDA, to feeding the nation in 2020 during the Covid Pandemic and to huge investment in our sites – just shy of £100m. There were lots of great questions and valuable engagement throughout the visit, which closed with a tour of the sausage factory.
