Finnebrogue’s revolutionary Naked Bacon – the first mass produced rasher to be made without nitrites or any other nasties – won the Ulster Bank Best New Product from a Large Company on Friday night.
Over 400 guests turned out in style to celebrate the achievements of Northern Ireland’s leading food and drink companies at the 2019 Northern Ireland Food and Drink Awards.
A total of eight awards were presented at the gala ceremony, hosted by Jo Scott in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Naked Bacon is now one of the biggest bacon brands in the UK, annualising £15m in retail sales despite only launching in January 2018.
The prize, awarded for the unsmoked back bacon variety, was collected by Finnebrogue technical director, Declan Ferguson.
