We’re delighted to share two well-deserved leadership promotions at Finnebrogue as we continue to grow together as one Sofina business.
After 15 years of outstanding contribution to Finnebrogue, Joe Stranney has been promoted to Regional Director, Operations, now leading our Value Added, Bacon and Vegetarian sites. Joe’s leadership and commitment to our people have played a vital role in our integration journey so far.
We’re also pleased to announce Eugene Kelly as Interim Site Director for the Finnebrogue Sausage site. Eugene has been with Sofina for a number of years and has been instrumental in supporting the Finnebrogue integration progress, bringing valuable experience and insight to the role.
Congratulations to Joe and Eugene on these exciting next steps. Together, these appointments strengthen our leadership team, accelerate our integration journey, and position Finnebrogue and Sofina for continued growth and long-term success.
Finnebrogue joined the Sofina Food Group in May 2025, a global food production company with 40+ sites across Canada and Europe. Operating from four facilities in Downpatrick, Finnebrogue supplies major supermarkets with own-label bacon, sausages, burgers, and vegetarian products, as well as its pioneering Naked range made without nitrites.
