Method

Finnebrogue Guinness® Beef Burger with Guinness® BBQ Sauce is a gourmet-style burger crafted from succulent Finnebrogue Guinness® Premium Beef Burgers flavoured with the distinctive taste of Guinness® Stout.

Make the Guinness® Sauce

  • Pour the Guinness® into a non-stick frying pan then cook over a high heat for 4-5 minutes until reduced by half. Add the rest of the sauce ingredients, then cook over a medium heat until thickened. This will take approximately 4-5 minutes.
  • Leave to cool then pour into a bottle or jar (this will last in the fridge for up to a week).

Cook the onion rings

  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan.
  • Place  the onion rings in a single layer on a baking tray and cook in the centre of the oven for 14 – 15 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking time.

Cook the Finnebrogue Guinness® Premium Beef Burger & buns

  • Fire up the BBQ to grill the Finnebrogue Guinness® Premium Beef Burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, then pop to the side to rest for a few minutes.
  • Alternatively you can follow the pack instructions for cooking.
  • Toast the buns.

Build the burger

  • Build the burger by adding some Guinness® BBQ sauce onto the base of the toasted bun, then some chopped shallots, lettuce, tomato and the Finnebrogue Guinness® Premium Beef Burger.  Top with a slice of cheese then some more Guinness® sauce and the optional jalapeños.
  • Pop the top of the burger bun on. Skewer the onion rings and add them to the top of the bun – you can also put them inside the bun if you prefer.
  • Tuck in and enjoy!
