BBQ Korean Glazed Wagyu Beef Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 Finnebrogue Wagyu Beef Burgers 
  • 2 tsp sesame oil 
  • 1 tsp gochujang paste 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • 2 tbsp kimchi  
  • 75g red cabbage, sliced 
  • 1 medium sized carrot, grated 
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise 
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, plus more for serving 
  • 1 tsp red chilli, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 
  • Spring onions, sliced for serving 
  • 2 gluten free brioche burger buns 

 

 

Method

Enjoy delicious Finnebrogue Wagyu Beef Burgers with a bbq Korean glaze for an Asian inspired meal.

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the gochujang paste with 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and the honey. Mix well to form a glaze, then brush it generously over the Finnebrogue Wagyu Beef Burgers. Set aside.

  2. In another bowl, toss together the red cabbage, carrot, kimchi, sesame seeds, red chilli, and soy sauce to make the slaw.

  3. For the mayo, stir the mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and the remaining gochujang glaze until smooth and fully combined.

  4. Preheat the BBQ* and grill the Finnebrogue Wagyu Beef Burgers, turning occasionally, until cooked through.

  5. To assemble, spread a spoonful of the sesame–gochujang mayo on the base of a toasted burger bun. Top with a burger, a generous helping of kimchi slaw, chopped spring onions, and an extra sprinkle of sesame seeds.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

 

*No bbq? Use an airfryer or the oven. Adjust cooking times accordingly.
