Finnebrogue has signed the Climate Action Pledge NI, committing to reduce its scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 100% by 2030. This goes well beyond the pledge’s standard 30% or 50% targets and reinforces Finnebrogue’s leadership in environmental responsibility.
The pledge, led by Business in the Community Northern Ireland, is part of the Business Action on Climate campaign, which challenges organisations to take meaningful steps in response to the climate emergency.
This ambitious target aligns with Finnebrogue’s wider sustainability strategy and its mission to produce food that doesn’t cost the Earth. By committing to significant GHG reductions, Finnebrogue is strengthening its role in building a greener, more sustainable future.
“As a business rooted in innovation and responsibility, we believe collaboration is essential,” said Paul Andrews, Head of Sustainability, “We’ve been working closely with both our suppliers and customers to drive change — and this pledge is another important step forward on our journey.”
