Finnebrogue is Sustainable Manufacturing Business of the Year

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the talent, hard work and achievements of our Sustainability team – Paul and Sam – who brought home two awards for Finnebrogue at last night’s Business Eye Sustainable Awards at The Culloden Estate.

Finnebrogue: Sustainable Manufacturing Business of the Year

Sam Turner: Highly Commended Young Sustainable Champion Award

Over the past two years, Finnebrogue has been on a transformative journey to become a more sustainable, responsible business. That journey has not only been driven by bold ambition, but embraced by every team across the organisation.

These awards are a testament to Paul and Sam’s expertise, passion and persistence – and to the collective commitment of everyone at Finnebrogue to do better for our planet, our people, and our communities.

OUR STORY

Finnebrogue is driven by a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, which has been a cornerstone of our operations for many years. Our goal is to create a positive impact on the environment, communities, and future generations.

Sustainability is a long-term strategy to ensure the longevity of our business and to make food that doesn’t cost the Earth.

Through our Bigger Picture programme, we’ve set ambitious sustainability targets:

-Carbon neutrality by 2030 (Scope 1 & 2 emissions).

-Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 (Scope 3 emissions).

-100% renewable energy consumption by 2030.

-80% recycled non-organic operational waste by 2030.

-50% reduction in food waste intensity by 2030 (vs. 2022 baseline).

-20% reduction in water intensity by 2030 (vs. 2022 baseline).

As Finnebrogue is not vertically integrated, collaboration with our supply chain is crucial. Our approach embeds sustainability across the entire supply chain, aligning our partners with our environmental and ethical commitments, as well as those of our customers.

-100% of ingredient suppliers to have a Human Rights and Modern-Day Slavery Policy by 2026.

-100% certified or verified low-risk deforestation-free soya in livestock feed by 2025.

-100% of ingredient and packaging suppliers with defined carbon reduction targets by 2026.
