FINNEBROGUE DONATES MORE THAN £100,000 TO CHARITIES AT HOME AND ABROAD

Finnebrogue has unveiled its charity support programme for 2025, reinforcing its philosophy of giving back through meaningful, sustainable partnerships. Guided by the belief in offering “a hand up, not a hand out,” the food producer will support eight remarkable charities over the next year — each chosen by Finnebrogue employees.

The 2025 charity partners are:

Daisy Lodge (Cancer Fund for Children) – Offering respite care to children with cancer and their families in a nurturing, peaceful setting in Newcastle, County Down.

AuSome GrowSome CIC – A social enterprise that provides gardening, sensory, and nature-based experiences for children and adults with autism and neurodiversity, promoting inclusion and wellbeing.

Women’s Aid Armagh Down – Providing confidential support, refuge, and advocacy for women and children affected by domestic abuse across the Armagh and Down areas.

PIPS Hope & Support – Delivering crisis intervention, counselling, and suicide prevention services to individuals and families in need of mental health support.

LCCL / Pop Up Art – Encouraging creativity and community through pop-up art installations and workshops, aimed at enhancing wellbeing and social connection.

Children in Northern Ireland (CiNI) – Working to improve the lives of vulnerable children through advocacy, training, and support services across the region.

One Equine – Using equine therapy to support young people and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, and emotional challenges, helping them reconnect and heal.

Good Little Company (Malawi) – support to deliver extensive orphan care programmes and work with the community to develop more sustainable agriculture techniques.

MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

In addition to its chosen charity partners, Finnebrogue continues to play an active role in supporting local schools, sports clubs, and community groups across the region. The company is a proud sponsor of Downpatrick Cricket Club’s junior coaching programme, helping to nurture the next generation of local cricket talent. It also supports the Celtic Downpatrick Bhoys Youth Tournament, which brings together young footballers from across Northern Ireland in a celebration of sport and community.

Finnebrogue sponsors the beloved Jimmy’s 10k race, now in its 25th year; and Lecale Swim Club’s annual prize-giving, recognising young swimmers’ achievements.

Finnebrogue is an industry partner to Lecale Trinity Grammar School – supporting its STARS programme and providing speakers and mentors for its Enterprise Week. We also provide products for many school fundraisers, including the ‘What a Hoot’ Café at Knockevin Special School, an inspiring initiative that gives students the opportunity to develop valuable hospitality and life skills in a real-world café environment.

These are just some of the wonderful initiatives that we are proudly involved in this year – and together they reflect Finnebrogue’s deep-rooted belief in investing in young people and building strong, resilient communities through long-term, hands-on engagement.
