Catherine Sansom declares new facility open for M&S Production
It was an exciting Saturday for Finnebrogue Artisan on February 27th as Senior Food Technologist, Catherine Sansom visited our new site to carry out an inspection. Catherine’s main area of focus was to review the new lines and facilities ahead of our first production of finished sausages, burgers and stuffings for M&S which would be produced from the new facility on Monday 29th February.
The visit also marked another ‘first’ for Finnebrogue Artisan with Catherine watching the pre-production of our new Vegetarian Butternut Banger which will launch this Spring as part of the M&S Grill range. The Butternut Banger follows our move into the low meat/no meat product arena alongside our M&S Superbean Cumberland Sausages which launched into stores last month. There is a growing trend in the low meat/no meat product market as customers look for products which are considered healthier or aim to reduce their meat intake. This is part of the growing interest in ‘flexitarian’, ‘meat free’ meals or reduction in meat intake to help the planets sustainable production of food for all.
