Ulster Rugby Protein Partnership renewed for Second Year

Finnebrogue will continue as the Official Protein Partner of Ulster Rugby for a second consecutive year. This renewed collaboration underscores the shared commitment to excellence — on the field, in the community, and at every meal.

Finnebrogue believes the foundation of great performance begins long before kick-off. A passion for quality, innovation and sustainable food brings the brand into perfect alignment with Ulster Rugby’s drive to push boundaries both on and off the pitch.

Stephanie Byers, Brand Manager at Finnebrogue, reflects on what the partnership means:

“From serving great-tasting, high-quality food to supporting the wider Ulster Rugby community, our partnership goes far beyond matchday nutrition. It’s about creating lasting impact, from making better food choices to driving performance on the pitch.

“We see our role as delivering the protein and nutrition support players need to train, compete, recover, and remain resilient through the season.

“We’re thrilled to keep building on this journey with the Ulster Rugby family and look forward to what the next chapter brings.”

Ulster Rugby: Recent Performance & Ambitions

To understand the challenge and opportunity in the season ahead, it’s useful to consider how Ulster performed in the 2024-25 campaign:

In the United Rugby Championship, Ulster played 18 matches: 7 wins, 11 losses.

In the European Rugby Champions Cup, they made it to the Round of 16 but were eliminated.

At home, fan support held strong: across their 9 URC home fixtures, Ulster drew a total attendance of 118,582, averaging around 13,196 per game, with the highest attendance peaking at 16,491.

Individual highlights included Nathan Doak being the club’s top scorer (82 points overall; 56 in the league) and Nick Timoney leading the team with 7 tries across all competitions.
