Dermot is Finnebrogue’s Operations Director, responsible for all four of the firm’s manufacturing sites, warehousing and distribution. Native to County Down, Dermot was educated at St Patrick’s Grammar, Downpatrick, before going on to graduate from Queen’s University Belfast with a first-class honours in mechanical engineering. He spent 16 years working for big brands such as Johnnie Walker, Bell’s, Smirnoff, and Gordon’s in various engineering, production, and site leadership roles. In the late 2000s, Dermot emigrated to Australia where he worked with Coca Cola Amatil, OI glass and Ingram’s Poultry. He returned to Northern Ireland in 2019 when he joined Moy Park as General Manager of their Dungannon complex, growing and processing chickens for primary meat supply to UK and Irish retailers.
