Meatfree Meatball Sub

Ingredients

  • Naked Without the Moo Meatballs
  • Sub roll, halved
  • Olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, halved
  • Salad leaves
  • Basil leaves
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Homemade tomato sauce

    Tomato sauce

  • ¼ red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ garlic clove, finely cut
  • ½ tsp dried chilli flakes
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp dried basil
  • 1 ½ tsp dried oregano
  • Tin chopped tomatoes

Method

  • To make this delicious meatfree meatball sub lunch, firstly, cut a large sub roll in half, then drizzle it with olive oil before rubbing over with half a garlic clove. Lightly toast it in a grill.

    Separately, stir Naked Without the Moo Meatballs into your delicous homemade tomato sauce and heat through until cooked.

    Finally build your sub by filling the roll with a large handful of salad leaves, a sprinkle of chopped basil and a handful of grated cheese.

  • Tomato Sauce

    Drizzle olive oil in a pan then sauté the onion, garlic clove, chilli flakes, sugar, basil, oregano and chopped tomatoes.

    Cook through for 2-3mins before adding the meatballs.
